Born and raised in Albia, Iowa, Blake Chance brings a competitive spirit and analytical discipline to his role at Cedar Point Capital Partners—qualities shaped early through athletics and strengthened through hands-on experience in financial services.

Blake earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Iowa, where he complemented his studies with local internships in commercial banking and asset management. Those experiences provided him practical insights into how financial decisions are evaluated, implemented, and monitored—solidifying his interest in portfolio management.

At Cedar Point Capital Partners, Blake supports the team’s portfolio management through security research, model analysis, and portfolio implementation. He approaches his work with preparation and accountability, focused on contributing thoughtful analysis within a consistent framework designed to serve clients over the long term.

Blake holds the Series 65 license and remains committed to continual professional growth, guided by a mindset of steady, day-by-day improvement.

Outside the office, Blake officiates football and basketball across Eastern Iowa—a role he sees rooted in composure, decisiveness, and trust. He lives in Coralville and enjoys golfing, supporting the Hawkeyes, and visiting family back home.
